The CostSample
THE ULTIMATE COST
Let us reflect on the incredible sacrifice that God made by giving His life for us.
The cost involved is profound, and it calls for our wholehearted dedication.
We Are All In or Not In at All:
In our journey of faith, we are presented with a choice. It's an all-or-nothing commitment. We are called to be fully invested, giving our complete selves to God. Half-hearted devotion falls short of the true surrender that is required.
To have a deep and intimate relationship with God, we are urged to surrender ALL.
It means letting go of everything that is not of God. This act of surrender is the key to experiencing the fullness of His presence in our lives.
Matthew 13:44 shares a powerful parable that illustrates the cost involved. The kingdom of heaven is likened to a treasure hidden in a field. A man discovers this treasure and overwhelmed with joy, sells everything he has to purchase that field. The man willingly sacrifices everything to attain the treasure.
This parable emphasizes the importance of giving our all for the sake of our faith. Just as the man in the parable sold everything he owned; we are called to give our all to God.
It may seem like a high cost to pay, but the joy and fulfillment we receive in return is immeasurable.
We must remember that everything we count as a cost, everything we perceive as a loss—absolutely everything—is nothing compared to the infinite gain of having Jesus in our lives.
Today, let us reflect on the ultimate cost that God paid for us, and let it inspire us to give our all. May we surrender our ALL, just to have the fullness of Him in our lives.
The cost may seem high, but the immeasurable gain of having Jesus far surpasses anything we might consider as a sacrifice.
Jesus is the greatest treasure we can ever possess.
