Strong as a MotherSample
How is your energy today? Do you feel like you are running with stamina or more like you could faint at any moment? Hebrews 12 tells us that we are running a race, which tells me that the Christian life is not a “sit back and enjoy the scenery” kind of life. We get to be part of God’s great rescue mission! But that does not mean that God wants you weary and haggard each day.
Our internal strength is renewed when we wait for God. I have this habit of saying “yes” too quickly. Yes, to the kids’ program. Yes, to the work project. Yes, to the girls’ weekend. Yes to the neighborhood cookout. None of those things are negative additions to my life in and of themselves, but they start tallying up quickly. Before I know it, I am ready to faint.
Today I am inviting you to start a new practice. Each time you have the opportunity to be part of something new, pause, wait for the Lord and only proceed when you hear His “yes”. There is renewed strength for each day, for each task, that God has called you to. So let’s learn the art of saying the right yes and the right no.
Dear God, I need strength today. Thank You for seeing me and guiding me with the things you have called me to. What are those things? (Pause and listen) Give me energy for those things. Help me run without weariness today. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

About this Plan
Mothers' strength awes me as they manage life, carry others, and handle countless responsibilities. Your strength, spirit, and love inspire me to be a better mom. This devotional offers inspiration and practical support. May your strength renew itself daily. As you connect with Jesus, hear His voice, and remember, the Father sees your unseen efforts. If ever uncertain, know that I believe in your strength as a mother. - Pastor Meredith
