Healing Hurt From a Broken HeartSample
Day 7: God's Plans For Us
As you walk through this season of your life, it may be hard to remember God’s promises. In the Scripture reading for today, God declares that He has good plans for us. While God uses our circumstances for our good, it is the enemy’s job to use our circumstances against us.
Looking through your current lens of pain, you may think that today’s scripture doesn’t apply to you. How can this breakup be good ? How can I have hope for the future in the midst of this pain? I understand these thoughts and feelings. Emotional pain can sometimes be worse than physical pain, so if you believe what you see, you will play right into the enemy’s schemes.
The enemy wants you to believe no good can come from what you’re experiencing and there is no hope for you, but we know the devil is a liar. We have to read God’s Word and declare it over our lives, especially in times of despair. If you choose to believe God’s Word, that He has plans to prosper you and not harm you, you will win!
When you believe God has plans to give you hope and a future, you can smash the lies of the enemy and know whatever you are going through is only temporary. You can come out of this season wiser and stronger than before you entered it. In the end, God will use your hurt and pain for your good. God has good plans for you, but it’s up to you to believe it and take hold of the promise!
Declare: My current circumstances do not dictate my future. My hope and trust are in God. I walk by faith, taking hold of His Word. I am prosperous and my future is bright. I believe God has nothing but good plans for me.
