Real Hope: Constant God

DAY 2 OF 6

Change Is Inevitable, But God Is Constant

What a world we find ourselves living in. We are bombarded with so many shifts in technology, politics and culture, all occurring at breakpoint speed around us. It can be difficult to even keep up. It’s as if we’re hanging off the back of a speeding train by our fingertips, barely able to take it all in. Let’s not forget how these variations create internal changes within us as well. To be honest, sometimes it can be difficult to negotiate these countless changes, whether they are happening around us, to us or within us. We are on our knees praying and crying out to God to change the situation when often God wants the situation to change us.

In our inadequate humanity, at times this can all be rather challenging. In a world that’s constantly changing, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and uncertain about the future. However, no matter what’s happening, we can always count on God to be there for us. His love and faithfulness never waver, even when everything else seems to be in chaos. Amidst all this change, there is one that remains constant: God. The world around us may change, for better or worse, but our identity in Christ remains the same. We are loved by Jesus, and nothing can ever change that.

Peace comes from a deep understanding that the Christian life stems from God and is sustained by God. Change will always come, but our constant God’s wisdom and character, and His love for us, is unchanging. His nature is unwavering, and His promises are unshakable.

Always remember: things change, people change, relationships change, careers change, economies change. But God will never change!

About this Plan

Real Hope: Constant God

God will outlive our earth, and our earthly bodies. He is not only consistently present, He is consistent toward us – kind, loving, guiding, and continually forgiving. Amongst continual change, God is our constant. He is our North Star. His is our ever-present, all-knowing, personal God.
