Becoming a Son That Pleases the Father

DAY 2 OF 30

DIVINE EXPERIENCES AND REVELATION (1)

There are three different types of experiences possible for believers. These experiences will determine our testimony as far as many things are concerned:

1. Ideal or perfect experiences

Only the Lord Jesus had this experience. The ideal testimony of Jesus was that He totally pleased the Father. Jesus fulfilled everything that the Father wanted. At no point did the Father have a frown on His face concerning Jesus. His faith, walk with the Holy Spirit, ministry, and interaction were all perfect. In fact, His enemies confirmed that He did all things well (Mar. 7:37).

2. Exceptional experiences

Exceptional experiences are also not common, and they will give birth to exceptional testimonies. Exceptional experiences happen occasionally due to certain factors in the lives of individual Christians that might not be present in others’ lives. A person may have exceptional testimonies on a subject and not have any on every other subject because it is based on the choices of God in our lives.

Exceptional experiences occur to put you on the right path in the direction of your destiny and to show that you are peculiar in that area of your life. Some of these exceptional experiences could be in the form of problems or opposition from the enemy. Most times, people assume that every problem is due to sin, but this is not always true. The man born blind in the book of John 9:1-3 is an example of an exceptional problem.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, give me a clear understanding of every phase and experience I pass through in life to cooperate with Your plan fully, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
