Everyday Life in Revelation Part 8: Certain VictorySample
We see God’s people gathered. They are given a song of victory to sing, because through God, they are victorious. This is happening while all the events of judgment and conflict are happening on Earth.
What we read today is great news for all. While terrible judgment is visited upon the world, the gospel is still being boldly proclaimed. Even in the darkest of hours, hope exists. At this point, it is not too late for those far from Christ. Even though the final stage of this world is playing out, people are still able to find redemption in Christ.
John sees an angel flying overhead with a forever gospel that is to be proclaimed to the world. It announces God’s soon-to-be judgment and calls people to worship God and turn to Him. While the church is being persecuted and God is pouring judgment upon the earth; the church will be proclaiming the truth of King Jesus’ gospel message.
Only the gospel can deliver a people from every tribe and people. Nobody is beyond God’s holy reach. When the church is proclaiming the gospel, we will see the church growing. Even in difficult circumstances and tough times, we will experience renewal and growth through the gospel. Let us be faithful as we share the hope we have with our family, friends, and neighbors.
