CHARACTERISTICS OF TRUE SHEEP (1)
When God refers to His people as “sheep”, what He means is not that we are to look at the sheep as stupid animals because God could not have planned that we should be stupid people. I used to wonder why God will raise an army of sheep and plan that we fight and win, but I discovered that there are three powerful characteristics of the sheep that are required to obtain victory over the devil.
(1) The obedient nature of the sheep: Obedience is a virtue so important to God. Even Jesus Christ had to learn obedience from the things that He endured though He was God in the flesh (Heb. 5:8). You are not going to be an effective, safe, and protected soldier if you do not learn to obey. Obedience is not a gift but a lesson that we learn, which in turn cultivates our nature.
(2) Followership of leadership: Sheep are one of the most unique exemplars of this quality in creation. Wherever the leading sheep goes is where the others follow, unlike goats that run in different directions.
(3) Sensitivity: No matter how well-camouflaged, the sheep will never respond to the stranger’s voice. There is something in a sheep that picks out a stranger and draws away from him.
A Christian that functions in these three characteristics put together will defeat 75% of the operations of Satan. You must understand that the Church is an army of sheep that is led by a Lion – the Lion of Judah!
PRAYER: Dear Lord, help me to continually cultivate and function in these characteristics to give me victory over the operations of Satan. Amen!

About this Plan
After genuine salvation, God places His children in a church family where they can flourish, blossom, bud, and fill the face of the earth with fruits. Church is God-ordained and when He brings you to a church, beyond a seat in the church, He gives you a spot in your pastor’s heart. This 30-day study would lead you into an experience and understanding of correct church membership.
