Stronger Than Porn

DAY 3 OF 3

Reasons to Quit Porn

One of the topics that I come back to regularly is pornography. I talk about the same thing repeatedly because I can see the damage it causes and sense the desperation of those who are caught up in it. My goal today is simple: I want to give you good reasons why you need to stop watching porn now.

  • The cost to your soul

The price to your soul is where I want to start. You should be worried about the condition of your soul if you are consumed by pornography and refuse to put this evil to death. If God has saved us, He promises we will experience new desires and emotions.

  • The cost to your church

Today’s young people are discrediting themselves for their devotion to pornography at a time when the Christian church desperately needs more and stronger leaders. Between the conviction of sin and the resolve to take action to stop it, they are stuck in a constant dilemma. Many people frequently put sexual immorality before God, hindering their spiritual development. Avoid looking at porn for the sake of your church.

  • The cost to your family

Today, finding a pastor who hasn’t witnessed a family disintegrate under the strain of pornographic addiction is difficult. Men who are wrecking their families to pursue unlawful pleasures; wives who avoid their husbands to read or view what is prohibited but which seems to offer greater and easier joy. Pornography is reaching children through the trail their parents have left behind. Parents provide Satan access by allowing things that God condemns and that Satan enjoys in the house. Stop watching porn, for your family’s sake.

  • The cost to your Savior

You deny Jesus Christ’s death when you ignore the usage of pornography. If you practice your religion as a Christian, you understand that the death of God’s beloved Son was the ultimate price of forgiveness. For your sins, Jesus suffered and died. How can you, as a Christian, joke around with and minimize your sins? How are you going to keep this? “Sin has been pardoned at such a heavy price that we can no longer treat it lightly,” Charles Spurgeon declared with his customary eloquence. Please stop watching pornography. Honor God with your life, time, and talents.

Day 2

About this Plan

Stronger Than Porn

Among the victims of pornography, who are most commonly young, are teenagers from Christian homes. Sixty-four percent of Christian men and fifteen percent of Christian women report seeing pornography on a regular basis. Because it impacts members of the wider public as well as churchgoers, this issue cannot be ignored or minimized. Join us for ten minutes on this powerful Bible reading plan to learn why you need to quit porn, how to overcome the temptation, and what specific steps you can take.
