Salt and Light at Work
God is interested in the marketplace, in other words, in your workplace. He has placed you there to impact lives and make a difference. It is right there that people need to experience God’s love, His goodness and His power. More than you being in your place of work because of your career, know that there is a call of God upon your life, to serve.
‘Your career is what you are paid to do. Your call is what you have been made to do.’ Jesus sent out His disciples to be the salt and light of the world (Matthew 5:13-16). Salt adds flavor and preserves food, while light dispels darkness. Both have the ability to affect their environment and are of no use if they are hidden. In the same way, we can be influencers, not by shying away, being afraid, or aligning ourselves to the ways of the world, but by demonstrating the Kingdom of God, by demonstrating integrity and a voice against injustice and corruption; by showing love, kindness, holiness, forgiveness and generosity. Where there is hostility, strife, immorality, pride and selfishness, you initiate a culture shift.
As you pray and use your spiritual authority, expect the favor of God and the release of the gifts of the Holy Spirit to minister to the needs of your colleagues and friends. Surely your organization will be transformed and lives will be changed.
Prayer
I say ‘yes’ to Your call upon my life, heavenly Father. Let Your Kingdom be demonstrated in and through my life. I ask for favor; and as I operate with authority in the name of Jesus, I expect the release of the gifts of the Holy Spirit to minister to people around me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

About this Plan
It is our prayer that it will reveal to those who don’t know Jesus Christ, that there is a Creator and Maker of this universe, the only loving and powerful God who longs for a personal relationship with every human being.
