Precious Moments That Count For EternitySample
The Road To Good Success
When Moses and the Israelites grumbled in the wilderness, God vowed that they would not see the promised land. The mantle was passed on to Joshua and Caleb to lead the people into a land flowing with milk and honey. Joshua and the new generation of Israelites went into the promised land. They faced many obstacles from the neighboring enemy countries, but they stood together and captured the surrounding land of Jericho as the Lord had promised them. The Lord promised that He would make them prosperous and successful if they kept meditating on God’s Word (Joshua 1:8).
Sometimes, when we face setbacks like failure, sickness and poverty, we question God’s presence. We doubt His existence. But remember, just as we praise God when everything goes well, we must continue to do so when we face difficulties. This is not easy. One is not inclined to praise God in troubled times. But when we read and meditate on His Word daily, I believe, we can do so. The Word says, “I can do all things through Christ (and not my own intelligence and ability) who strengthens me.” The Lord’s promises have never failed; we just need to trust them. Joshua was young when Moses mentored him. He grew into a strong courageous man and he saw the miracles the Lord did in the wilderness, because he trusted God.
Let’s remember all the good things that the Lord has done for us when we go through hardships. It is said, “Failure is a ladder to success.” Let’s not give up, because the Lord never gives up on us. He is always by our side.
Prayer
Dear Lord, I know I am weak when I face failures, but today I want to bring all my worries and cares to the cross and I want to live a life of victory. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
