PATIENCE AND A SOFT HEART

For whoever has [spiritual wisdom because he is receptive to God’s word], to him more will be given, and he will be richly and abundantly supplied. MATTHEW 13:12 AMP

Every day we are faced with decisions to make. Some are needed in an instant; others require a lot of thought, prayer, and picking apart because of the long‑term consequences. Either way, it’s comforting to know that God is aware of the smallest details and the desire of our hearts to make wise choices. It’s challenging, however, when a husband and wife don’t agree on which decision to make or the timing in which to make it. Having a soft heart to what God says and patience with the process and each other will lead to wisdom and favor.

Father, You know the decisions my husband and I are faced with, and few of them are simple or easy. Please empty both of our minds of our own agendas and fill them with Your Spirit of truth and wisdom. Open his mind to see my perspective and truly consider it, help me to be patient and willing to hear his thoughts with sincerity, and keep each of us pure and open to hear Your voice and follow Your lead. Help both of us not to get sidetracked, and remove any blindfold that keeps us from understanding or making wise decisions. Through it all, help us to make unity, love, and acceptance of each other our highest aim.TO YOU BE ALL THE GLORY. AMEN.
