Finding Safety in God's Care, the Story of RuthSample

Waiting
“Wait, my daughter, until you learn how the matter turns out” (Ruth 3:18).
Naomi and Ruth have done all they could to secure their future within the regulations the Lord God had given. Naomi carefully laid out a plan and Ruth followed her instructions. She asked Boaz to marry her in order to save her family. Boaz responded positively. And now…?
Now they have to wait and see. There is another man who is more entitled to take on the role of redeemer since he is more closely related to Naomi's family. Boaz must first discover whether this man wants to buy back the fields and marry Ruth. Only if this man withdraws can Boaz work out his own plans. Until then, Naomi and Ruth can do nothing.
Actually, there is one thing they can do: pray. The story says nothing about this, but the entire Bible encourages us to make all our concerns and desires known to the Lord God. Even if we have to be patient while strongly looking forward to something or anxiously waiting for something. After all, He has everything in His hand!
What do you do when you have to wait?
