The Armor of God

DAY 5 OF 5

The Armor of God: Part V

In this series, we’re discussing the armor of God. Paul references the final tool—the Word of God.

In Ephesians 6:17, Paul said, “Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”

For twenty years, I’ve been writing these messages because I sincerely believe the Word of God is our best tool for the workplace.

The Bible is practical and applicable to daily business decisions. Note that out of all the pieces of armor, the sword of the Spirit is the only offensive tool mentioned.

When sensing that you’re under spiritual attack, quote and apply Scripture. It’s the best tool you have at your disposal. After all, it worked for Jesus in the desert.

Questions For Reflection

  1. What are your go-to verses when facing difficulty? Why those verses? What makes them successful in your life?
  2. How might a person implement scripture in small steps? What would be the first thing you would do to apply Ephesians 6:17?

If you’d like to learn more about how you might apply principles of truth and the armor of God in your business, take a look at our resources page at Unconventional Business Network.

Day 4

About this Plan

The Armor of God

As followers of Jesus, we do have an enemy. The world doesn’t like discussing the devil, but he is real and amazingly adept at deceiving us. The Apostle Paul knew we needed to be prepared for enemy attacks. That is why Paul gave us tools that he labeled the armor of God in Ephesians 6. Join me in discussing how to apply the armor of God!
