Reasonable Doubt

DAY 15 OF 20

Google is an excellent tool for when we have questions—feeling sick? Type in your symptoms, and Google can help you figure out what might be wrong, but also go see a doctor if you are really sick! Want to know what was the year the first person walked on the moon? Ask Google! Have questions about life and your purpose? Can Google answer this question? Yes and no—Google might point us to some resources, but it might have difficulty answering this question. However, there might be a better place to find an answer.

Today's verses talk about a time when Jesus faced a challenging situation, and in response, he says, he relied on God's words for strength. Today, God's words can also be understood as the Bible. Just like Jesus found strength, meaning, and courage in God's words, we can too. As we read the Bible more, we'll learn more about who we are and our purpose in life. Reading the Bible doesn't just mean sitting in your room by yourself. You can read it with other people, in a Bible study, or by listening to sermons (people talking about the Bible).

Today take some time to plan some creative ways to read the Bible or listen to God's words.

About this Plan

Reasonable Doubt

What’s the most unreasonable thing you’ve heard? Was it a story or a statement that was hard for you to believe? It can be difficult to ask questions or express doubt when other people seem so certain, especially when it comes to faith. In this 20-day devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we’ll see it really is possible to have questions and doubts while still having faith.
