All About the Holy SpiritSample
Who is the Holy Spirit?
He took the form of the dove that came down from heaven and rested upon Jesus at His baptism. He was hovering over the face of the earth at the moment of creation. And if you believe in Jesus, He is with you at this very moment.
Our God is one being, made up of three parts: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. All three are equal, eternal, and fully God. The Holy Spirit has been at work since the beginning of time, and in the Old Testament, He empowered specific people to take part in His plans. But because of Jesus’ sacrifice, the gift of the Holy Spirit is now available to anyone who believes in Him.
The moment you accept Jesus, the Holy Spirit lives within you–making you holy. This means that regardless of your past mistakes, you are now made new, and the Holy Spirit will help you pursue His purposes for your life.
God’s Spirit is closer to us than our own breath—so even in our darkest moments, we are never truly alone. The Holy Spirit is here to encourage us to live lives that honor God and pursue the calling He’s given each of us.
Pray:
Jesus, thank You for giving me Your Holy Spirit. Because of Your sacrifice, I can now partner with and be encouraged by the Holy Spirit. Please continue to bring me closer to You and make me aware of Your Spirit in every moment. Amen.
