When we gave our life to Christ, we gained something that is only available to those who trust in Him as Lord- His Spirit. We were immediately given this gift that gives us the power to stand firm in every situation. We gained utmost confidence that no matter what happens, our life is now hidden in Him and nothing will ever be able to change that.

David, like many others, was given a promise from God. He was destined to become king of Israel because God deemed him fit to do so. Through countless uncertainties, David had to endure with only a promise and the strength of His Spirit. One can only imagine how many times David must have believed God had forsaken him, but David’s life remained in God’s hands. It took significantly longer and much more suffering than David knew, but eventually the promise of God on his life had the final word. It will be the same in us. Our lives are in His hands, therefore, He will “perfect that which concerns us” (Psalm 138:8). If you feel like you can’t see the hand of God in your life, remember His heart toward you. Trust that you will see the fulfillment of
His purpose in and through you and experience the abundant life available in His Kingdom. He is not a man that He should lie.
