Power with a Purpose

Jesus commissioned his disciples to “heal the sick, cleanse lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons” (Matthew 10:8 NKJV), but why? Why did he commission them and fill them with so much power? Because their calling required it. It was power with a purpose. So many people want anointing, they want more favor, they want breakthrough in their finances and relationships, but for what? If you were given access to limitless resources to use for the sake of sharing the good news of the gospel, do you know what you would do? It’s not unreasonable to believe that if we put the kingdom first, all the other things will be added to us. God is still looking for a generation that will stand up and say, “Not my will, but Yours, be done” (Luke 22:42 NKJV). And so, what is your reason? If you want power, you’d better have a purpose. What are you going to do with your anointing? Let’s receive a God-sized dream and raise our expectations. Let’s find our kingdom purpose.
