Weary Traveler 3 Day Devotional by Jordan St. CyrSample
Comfort in God
The greatest comfort I've come to know is found in the characteristic of God's faithfulness and how it is not contingent on my own faith. He is faithful no matter what. In our doubting, He is there. In our wrestling, He is there. In our weakest moments, He is there. His Holy Spirit gently knocks on the door of our hearts, patiently waiting for the moment we crack it open to let Him in. Since He created us, I can only imagine God dreaming of those exact moments and how excited that must make His spirit! We can have these moments when we finally open that door and allow His love to be lavishly poured upon us.
While the journey seems impossible at times, may we know that it'll all be worth it because His love for us is just that good. His hope for the world is just that good, and His faithfulness to see everything unto completion is just that good. We were never meant to walk to the road alone so, let our prayer be to invite God into the good times that we would know His faithfulness in the hard times. Let’s be grateful for the answered prayers so as to not think He doesn't hear us when our prayers aren't answered in the way we had hoped. Whether you find yourself tired or energized today, make the choice and allow God's spirit to be the strength that leads you on.
