Woman of Purpose

DAY 4 OF 4

Completely Made In His Image

When it comes to dreams and desires, you need to embrace who you are. God didn’t make a mistake when He gave you the desires of your heart, so don’t get distracted by the desires of others. Sometimes we can get into competition with others when it comes to our desires and how they take shape. We may think we need to look at other people and see how they are pursuing their purposes to make sure we win some imaginary race to the finish. Your purpose is yours alone. You are not in competition with anyone.

You need to be authentically you, the you God created you to be, rather than trying to be someone else or trying to meet someone else’s expectations of who you should be. You are God’s workmanship, created exactly the way He wanted for all the good things He prepared for you to do (Ephesians 2:10).

You have the power to change the world, but it starts with you being authentically you. You don’t need to try to do something spectacular out of your own strength. You have been supernaturally equipped to fulfill God’s purposes for you in the earth. That’s how God created you—you are naturally supernatural. Have confidence in the way you were created and in the dreams and desires God has placed in your heart. God will lead you through. Keep walking by faith.

Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven. (1 Corinthians 15:49)

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you,” (Jeremiah 1:5a)

Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?” Jesus answered him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” Nathanael answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!” (John 1:48-49)

Day 3

About this Plan

Woman of Purpose

Sometimes it seems like God has put our dreams on hold. The truth, though, may be greater than we ever could have guessed: God has a perfect timing for everything even when we cannot comprehend what He is doing in the background. In this 4-day devotional by Michelle McClain-Walters, regain your confidence in who God is, what He is preparing you for, and who He has called you to become.
