Pursue PeaceSample
The Peace of God.
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7 KJV.
May the peace of God keep your heart. May the peace of God guard every area of your heart and mind. According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for “Peace” is, ‘eirēnē’ (G1515) which means, “A state of national tranquility, exemption from the rage and havoc of war, peace between individuals, (i.e. harmony, concord), security, safety, prosperity, felicity, (because peace and harmony make and keep things safe and prosperous), of the Messiah's peace, the way that leads to peace (salvation).”
May the security of God’s peace clothe you. May His peace and safety guard the borders of your home. May His peace shield your heart. The Amplified Version expounds upon Philippians 4:7 AMPC in the following manner, “And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
May the assurance of God’s peace pursue you all the days of your life. May His peace be a buckler. May His peace be a shield. May His peace be your strength and song. “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7 NIV.
