Courage - Standing Tall - Trusting God

DAY 3 OF 4

Panic attack. That sudden totally irrational emotion that stops you in your tracks. Millions experience it to one degree or another. Some people become so frozen, they can barely function. Some are even handicapped by a fear that a panic attack might happen. It's a really hard thing to face.

  • It isn't a common thing for me. But I recognize a panic attack when it arrives. The Bible addresses it this way. "Do not be afraid of SUDDEN fear." Proverbs 3:25-26 God doesn't tell us to do something He can't enable us to do. The verse says these experiences are both from within (wrong thinking) and without - Satan. I'm not going to give you a magic wand here. Just read the verse and meditate on it. If you memorize it, you'll have it wherever you are! There is one command and two promises. You CAN have victory in this trial. God will give you the Courage. Praise the Lord!
  • Who is stronger? Men or God? Simple, right? Well, God wants to give you the courage to face people that you fear. In Isaiah 51:12 He reminds you every man is made of the same stuff. So, God says "Who are you afraid of? God wants to empower you to be a winner in this battle of the mind and the devil. Listen to God, and trust Him. You'll be comforted.
  • Are you born again and trusting Jesus Christ as your Savior? Isaiah 54:17 (image above), has two promises from God directly for you. Ultimately, no attack from a person will amount to anything that counts, from an eternal perspective. And "every tongue that accuses you ... you will condemn!" God has your back. He has an inheritance for you. God wins! Be courageous, trust in God's power available to you.
