Speak to Their Heart: 5 Ways to Love Your Spouse Well Sample

See them as they are
It is so easy to lose focus on the person your spouse is because of all the roles they take on. In marriage, we are uniquely positioned to encourage our husband or wife by reminding them who they are in Christ, and that all they do is simply that: things they do. Not who they are.
Today pause to reflect and thank God for your spouse and your marriage. Rejoice in Him and relish knowing that He is the one who designed each of you.
Notice and appreciate how God created your spouse with their specific giftings and traits. Look for some ways that they are living out the good works He purposed for them. Thank God with gladness for His goodness in creating them so intentionally.
Let your spouse know that you see them as the man or woman you promised to love and partner in this crazy life with. That you see them as more than just a mom/dad, caretaker, or employee. That you value them for who they are.
Next Step: Encourage your spouse in one of their roles today. Grab dinner, leave a note, or maybe pick up the kids.
