Detox Your Life & Relationships

Sometimes, we find ourselves in unhealthy relationships that negatively affect us mentally, physically, and emotionally. Those are the times to detox! To detoxify one’s life involves taking actions to move from a place of ill health to a healthier one.

A healthy relationship is one where there is mutual respect, love, and care. The people involved are happy to be part of it. In order to foster a healthy life filled with positivity, one must conduct a self-audit and take time to pray, study God’s word, and be prepared to sincerely move away from things, people, and places that trigger negativity.

The Bible says we ought to walk in love. Walking in love, however, does not mean you should continue to put yourself in a relationship that belittles you or afflicts you. You can choose to love someone from afar which means having boundaries that enable you to focus on your life and move ahead.

Prayer: Lord, help me to deal with and be set free from the toxic relationships in my life that are holding me back. Amen.
