Advent in Israel: The Places of Israel & the Story of JesusSample

Day 1 - Bethlehem
Merry Christmas! The savior of the world is born. His birth in the small town of Bethlehem means that all of the prophecies we have learned about over the past 24 days are fulfilled. Jesus’s birth means that we have the promise of eternity with God. It means that one day we will see God face to face without fear. We will never shed a tear, and all suffering will be gone. Hallelujah what a gift that God gave to the world on this so many years ago.
“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
The promise of Christmas is the promise of future eternity with no suffering. It is the promise that we hope not only here on earth but forever. Sing your favorite Christmas song today, and remind your family that Christ’s birth brings true peace!

About this Plan

As we enter the Christmas season, we are all eager to celebrate the birth of Jesus, the point in history where God descended into humanity to bring life to a broken world. Each day leading up to Christmas, we will provide an overview of the biblical significance of a location in Israel, along with a devotional prompt that will connect that location with the life of Jesus in Scripture.
