Walking With Jesus (Faith) Sample
The Secret of Strength
We often feel weak in this life, even though as believers, we should have enough strength to face everything triumphantly. Lord Jesus emphatically said that "lack of faith" makes us weak, fallen, lost, crushed, and various other things we don't expect. Lack of trust makes us fail to achieve our life goals. We have enough strength to face anything.
We have the unshakable strength. The word of God that we have is never worn and dull. We become weak when we don't use the sword of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit who lives in our hearts is our strength. We will be powerless if we do not use it. Moreover, we have Lord Jesus that is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Therefore, it is very unfortunate if we still have no strength, when the strength that we have in Lord Jesus is truly extraordinary (Phil 4:13).
We can only use all the strength we have in Lord Jesus by faith. Faith makes it work with might and strength. Our faith can overcome everything in the world: poverty, disease, problems, and other things. This does not mean that we will instantly become rich when we are poor. However, we will always be able to see how God provides for all our needs. It doesn't mean that we will soon be healed from sickness. God will give us the strength to bear it. Additionally, it doesn't mean that we can avoid all problems. We may have problems, but we will find the best solution in due course.
However, our faith is also not free from the threat of unbelief. When unbelief eats away our lives, weakness and defeat will await us. The devil is an expert in making us distrust God by using our human logic, other people, the environment, etc. Don't let this happen. Fight the devil and all deception of unbelief! (1 Pet. 5:9).
Our faith must grow and continue to be built so that we can stay strong to face anything. We must always obey to achieve this purpose. Our obedience is required to do everything that is said by the word of God. We will also grow in strong faith by living in the discipline of self-denial. Do not be careless about your faith. The devil and all his armies never take a break from trying to weaken our faith. Keep on watching and praying relentlessly. We are more than conquerors because of Lord Jesus. Therefore, use the key of your power!
Reflection:
1. What often makes you weak?
2. Have you noticed the growth of your faith?
Application:
Do things that have a positive impact on your faith.
