Imagine this: you are standing in a row of your friends, ready to be divided into teams for an epic game of dodgeball. Names are quickly being called as team captains try to assemble the best team made up of the best players available. As your friends walk toward their team captain, you are left standing in the row with one other person, the last two to be picked. Who will be chosen last? Maybe this situation is more real for you than you would like it to be, or maybe you have always been picked first, and you have never had to deal with this reality.
We can feel the tension of this scenario when it comes to sports, have you ever felt "picked last" when it comes to other areas of your life? Maybe you have felt looked over, unimportant, or that you don't have a lot to offer — maybe even to God. It can be difficult to figure out where we fit in God's world or why we were created. You know what, though? God hasn't picked you last! God has chosen you and has some awesome things planned for you!
How might you live differently with this new sense of identity?

About this Plan
If someone asked who you are, what would you say? Are you a musician? A basketball player? A friend? A daughter or son? Those things might be true, but have you ever felt like you’re still figuring out who you are, what you’re good at, or why you’re here? In this 20-day devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll explore who Jesus is and discover who we’re meant to be.
