Sometimes, the hardest thing about having faith is that we have to choose it even when we don’t feel like it. There will be days in our journey with Jesus when we just don’t feel like trusting that God’s way is best for us. Our feelings will tell us that what we want is best, that we should follow whatever makes sense in the moment, and that our emotions never lie to us. Those things simply aren’t true. Feelings fade. They don’t last forever, but faith does.
God does know what’s best for us. He will never leave us, and He loves us more than anyone else. We can actively choose faith over feelings by reading our Bible even when we’re tired, praying even if we don’t know exactly what to say, and living by Jesus’ directions for our life instead of by what everyone around us is saying. It’s not always easy to choose faith over feelings, but it is worth it. Choosing faith in Jesus no matter how we feel will always be the right choice.
Challenge: Today, choose faith over your feelings. Take some time today to write a letter to God. Tell Him honestly how you are feeling in this moment; then ask Him to give you the courage it takes to live by faith instead of by feelings.

About this Plan
Faith is putting your trust in something, even if you don't see it or have visible proof. Faith in God can be challenging, especially since we usually don’t hear God audibly speaking to us or see Him right in front of us. But faith is the foundation of a relationship with Jesus. Join us for the next seven days as we look at what it means to live by faith.
