Key Themes: Key Topical Themes Of The BibleSample
Prayer
This Psalm is a prayer written by someone going through a very difficult time. In the early part of the Psalm, we recognize the symptoms of depression. Fortunately, the writer is talking to God about his distress. The Psalm then turns to praising God for His power that extends from the beginning of time to the generations to come. He is realizing that his current problems are nothing compared to God’s power.
Everyone gets discouraged at times. It can cause us to lose sleep and feel hopeless, but it is important to take our discouragement to God in prayer. Though it may not feel like it, God is bigger than our problems.
