Discovering the Real YouSample
WHO before DO
When we’re clear about who we are in Christ, we have greater clarity around what we’re to do and accomplish on this earth.
I often share with my clients that finding your purpose is one of the byproducts of discovering who you are in Christ. So, we will focus on who we are rather than what we do.
The only place we can find the truest and clearest picture of who we are in Christ is through His Word.
Here’s an example:
Psalm 139:1 says, “You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.’’
This verse reminds me that God knows me. It keeps me encouraged, especially when I’m feeling misunderstood by people around me. When lies try to convince me that my dreams aren’t worth pursuing, I can remember that I have a God who knows me better than anyone. So, if He puts those dreams inside of me, then they’re worth pursuing.
Journal Question:
Find a bible verse that speaks of your identity in Christ. Why does this verse resonate with you?
