Dare to Dream

DAY 7 OF 7

Dreamers Live A Life Of Balance

Have you ever witnessed someone so focused on a goal that they ended up destroying themselves in the pursuit of that goal? Without balance, this can happen to us as we pursue our dream. If we do nothing but pursue our dream to the detriment of our family, our walk with God, our health—then the very thing we’re after will be the very thing that takes us out.

When you have the mindset of a dreamer, you recognize that dreams live a life of balance. You’ve got to be able to balance all the areas of your life, so you don’t get out of balance and destroy yourself pursuing your dream. Solomon addresses this when he says, “Do not be overly righteous, nor be overly wise: why should you destroy yourself?” (Ecclesiastes 7:16). When you are out of balance, even good things can destroy you.

Dreamers have a realistic perspective of who they are and where they’re at. Be realistic about what is before you today. Be faithful to the obligations in front of you. The moments of your today will bring you to the dream of your tomorrow.

Sometimes, the reality check for a life of balance is a wakeup call. For some of us, we pursue our dreams to the detriment of our lives. And for others of us, we pursue our lives to the detriment of our dream. If there isn’t room in your life to pursue your dream, something is out of balance. For dreamers, a life of balance ensures they make time to pursue their dream.

Dreamers live a life of balance because they know their dream is part of their destiny. Your dream works in tandem with your family, health, and life. When your dream is party of your destiny, every person in your life, every experience, every failure, every success—it all works together for God’s glory. Your responsibility is to live with balance.

Today's Blessing:

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. Whether you know it or not, you didn’t pick your dream. Your dream picked you. If your dream came from the heart of God, then He designed you to live it out. Do the work today. Stay engaged in the present. And rest in the knowledge that God will be faithful to bring about your dream in His perfect timing.

Day 6

About this Plan

Dare to Dream

In a world of hardships, God still has a wonderful plan for your life. He is not overwhelmed by the days in which we live, nor is He bothered by any predictions of difficulty that lie ahead. God is waiting to hear from His children, hoping we have enough boldness to ask Him to make our dream a reality.
