Poured Out: Songs of Prayer and PraiseSample

Today marks the beginning of reading Book 2 of Psalms (Psalms 42–72). In these psalms we see other voices join David’s as authors, penning their mostly individual concerns. The book ends on a high note as Psalm 72 focuses on the ideal human king who has universal reign.  

Before you read Scripture today, we invite you to pray this prayer: God, open my eyes to see You; open my heart to praise You; and open my mind to know You.
