When God Speaks: What To Expect III
As God speaks to you and you are led by the Spirit of God, You Will Be Honoured. Psalm 23:5 “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.” In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, as you are led by the Spirit of God in this season, God Himself will honour you. As you are led by God’s Spirit, You Will Be Promoted. Deuteronomy 28:1 “If you will LISTEN DILIGENTLY TO THE VOICE of the Lord your God, being watchful to do all His commandments which I command you this day, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.” (AMPC, emphasis added). This is a principle of God’s Word. Kenneth Hagin shared based on his experience with ministers, and by extension Christians, that what distinguishes one Pastor, one Christian from another, is listening to God and obeying God. Nobody is the superstar. Nobody is better than the other. Nobody is stronger than the other. The difference is aligning with God. When you align with God, He promotes you.
As you are led by God’s Spirit, You Secure Your Place In God’s Presence. I pray, in the Name of Jesus, that in God’s presence your place will not be vacant. As His child, you have a place in God’s presence, and my prayer is that your place will not be vacant in the Name of Jesus. Ps.23:6 “Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.” Therefore, because the Lord is your shepherd and you will be led by His Spirit, your place in God’s presence will be secured in the Name of Jesus. So, what is God saying? The charge for you and I is to go and seek God’s face. The charge for us is to take the posture of obedience as we seek His face and hear His voice. The charge for you and I is to follow the leading of His Spirit and align with His direction. Only then would we come into the fulness of the truth that David shares with us in Psalm 23.
Psalm 23:1-6 “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (NIV)
What is God saying? What is God saying concerning your health, your finances, about that your next level? Do you know His voice? Can you tell His voice apart from other voices? Whose voice are you really listening to, whose leading are you actually following? Perhaps it is time to check who your shepherd is and your proximity to him. Remember, the foundation for hearing from God is belonging to Him. John10:27 “My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me.” (NRSV). You need to belong to God to hear from God. You need to be His sheep to enjoy the benefits of the Good Shepherd. If you cannot confidently say that you are His sheep, now is the time to sort it out with God. If you have wondered away from His flock, now is the time to cry out. He is calling out to you even now.
Shepherd of my soul I give You full control; Wherever You may lead I will follow. I have made the choice to listen for Your voice; Wherever You may lead I will go. Be it in a quiet pasture or by a gentle breeze; The shepherd of my soul is by my side. Should I face a mighty mountain or a valley dark and deep; The shepherd of my soul will be my guide.

About this Plan
We all need to develop an appetite for hearing God’s voice. However, to recognize God’s voice and be led by God’s Spirit, we must take the posture of obedience.
