Through the Bible: 1 ChroniclesSample
Righteousness
But Aaron and his sons made offerings on the altar of burnt offering and on the altar of incense for all the work of the Most Holy Place, and to make atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded. 1 Chronicles 6:49 (ESV)
The appointment of Aaron and his sons for this particular work indicates the fact that there were constant needs for atonement in the Old Testament times. Only the High Priest was allowed to go into the Most Holy Place once a year. We are very blessed that Jesus has sacrificed Himself and died on the cross for us. Therefore, our relationship and covenant with our God have been reconciled. We are children of God. There is no need for any constant atonement nowadays. We are also a temple of God, God is in us now. We are the chosen ones. What we need to do is to just accept Jesus as our savior!
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, We thank You for sending Your only Son to die for us on the cross and so our covenant with You can be reconciled. May we pledge ourselves to You with a faithful heart today and let us bring more unsaved to reconcile their relationship with You. We pray all these in Your Mighty Name, Amen!

About this Plan
Written in the postexilic period, the books of Chronicles present the history of Israel with a purpose very different from the other historical books like that of Books of Samuel and Kings - to remind the despairing remnants that God’s promise to bring forth a Messiah through the royal Davidic lineage still stands. Heaven and earth will pass away, but the LORD’s faithfulness endures forever.
