P. R. A. Y. Pause. Reflect. Ask. Yield.Sample
YIELD
Pause; breathe.
Focus on God and what He’s revealed to you.
What a week this has been! Regardless of how you’re serving and ministering, God has moved and used you to share His love with others. What a privilege to be part of His work!
Things might not have moved at the pace you wanted. Perhaps your service didn't look the way you expected. Often life’s events, both good and bad, don't fit our timeline or our plan. But the Psalm calls us to “wait for the Lord.” We must be strong and courageous to yield to God's timing.
In Luke, Jesus preaches what we often call the Golden Rule, but these verses tell us to go even further: to give more than we have; to seek no revenge or retribution; to pray for those who are unkind; to love people that hate us; and to be patient with those who may discourage or disappoint us. These responses don’t track with popular culture. Today, when someone is wronged, they post scathing words, and when someone is offended, they "cancel" the offender.
Jesus' words may seem impossible to follow and practice. But yielding to others was how He lived His life, even to the point of death.
REFLECTION
Have you ever had to “wait for the Lord”?
What could it look like to yield to God’s timing in your life?
What does it look like to love people who don’t make it easy, even those who hate you?
Tell the Lord how these verses impact you. Be honest about your waiting and yielding. Ask Him to show you small ways where you can yield like Jesus did, to the people around you and to His plan for your life.

About this Plan
In a fast-paced and frenzied world, it's important to take time each day to Pause, Reflect, Ask, and Yield (P.R.A.Y.); to slow down and breathe in the blessings of the Spirit; to set our hearts and eyes on Jesus and to join with the Lord in pouring compassion on his beloved children.
