Three Questions for Wives

DAY 2 OF 3

Is God at the center of your marriage?

Is God at the center of your marriage? For most of us, that is a tough one. This is an area where it can be so hard to get started that we end up getting nowhere. We may shy away from taking the initiative because of the idea that our husband is the spiritual leader. That responsibility can be very intimidating, so don’t be afraid to throw him a bone here! If God is nudging you to take a step to make Him the center of your marriage, don’t shy away. Small changes will add up over time, growing your marriage to be firmly rooted in Christ.

Some ideas to get you started.

Find a good church and go together every week.

Pray for your husband every day. Keep it simple. Ask God to bless his work, protect him, and to help you to be a great wife.

Read the Bible together. You do not have to be a Bible scholar. You are already reading this plan, so that’s a great start! Try a YouVersion plan together, and talk about what you read.

That’s it! Do this for 30 days and let us know what happens.

Today’s Challenge:

Pray and ask God to show you what step you need to take today to begin putting God at the center of your marriage.

Going Deeper:

1. What do you think it means to put God in the center of your marriage?

2. Are you a part of a local church? If not, what is standing in your way? Make a commitment to finding a church to attend regularly. Look up three potential churches in your area and visit them to find the church that’s right for you.

3. Pray and ask God to help you put Him at the center of your marriage.
