God Made Man: Discovering Your PurposeSample
“And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.”
1 John 5:14-15
Dear Father,
I pray that You show our brothers the power of prayer. I ask that they read Your word in 1 John 5:14-15 and have the boldness to ask and the confidence to expect their prayers to become one with Your will.
Lord, show our brothers how to pray with expectancy, but also show them first how to clear the path of sin debris that blocks the direct communication with you. Too many believers toil in vain over prayers that will not be answered.
Not because You don’t love them, but because unconfessed sin and unrepentant hearts interfere with the intimacy You seek. I pray they come into a close and constant conversation with their loving Father, who is so willing to answer their petitions.
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray, Amen
