Fervent: Fight Fear With Faith Sample
Sometimes we have to be reminded to engage with the real enemy. To meet him in battle and begin to possess what God has promised us. We have been in lockdown for seemingly endless days, we have heard disquieting news about our jobs, our resources, we have had to look at going back to living a “new normal” life that is uncertain and risky, and perhaps, we have been forced to meet the worst version of ourselves in our homes. When we feel the fear cloud our thinking, or the rising tempers fray our nerves, or the lack of essentials fill us with dread, or the uncertain future makes us doubt our Father’s presence, let us remember, there is an enemy behind all these smoke and mirror tactics. In Christ, we already have the victory. So let us—the Church—begin to engage the enemy by repelling him with the sword of the word of God. God will put him to flight, but we have to fight!
Pray that:
• The Church will rise up and begin to fight this spiritual battle with the armor of God
• There will be a lifting of the spirit of despondency. Instead, we will be filled with joy and courage.
• God will restore our waning passion for Him.
