Guarantee of Faith

Do you want your life to be free of trouble and problems? If you do, then you might be disappointed, because Jesus says this:

John 16:33 (NIV) - “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

This is Jesus, who was present at the time of creation. According to John 1:3, this world was created through him. He knows the world better than anyone else. This same Jesus says that, in this world, you WILL have trouble.

Trouble is a guarantee. But faith is also a guarantee!

Matthew 21:22 (NLT) - "You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.”

You have two things that are guaranteed to happen in this world: trouble and faith. Which one will you choose to focus on? Whichever you choose will work harder in your life. Focus on faith.

Prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for the guarantee of faith. I won't be shaken by the trouble that I see. Rather, by faith, I will stand firm. I pray this in your name, Jesus, amen.
