DO NOT WORRY
No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer. (2 Timothy 2:4)
Jesus taught the disciples and other listeners not to worry about anything in their lives. He told them to see the birds in the air that never lack food. If the Lord cares for the birds in such a way, we can believe that He will care for His children.
If a good father knows what is best for his children, our Father in Heaven will surely care for our situation. That was why Paul emphasized in his writing to tell Timothy not to worry about the matters of his life. Worrying will only make us weak, both physically and spiritually.
What can we do if we are weak? We can’t even think about anything when we are weak.
Conversely, if we believe that our God is a great or mighty God who can help and provide the best for us, then we will be strong to move forward in His care. When we believe in the Lord and His Word our faith will energize us and give us new strength.
We can choose to trust that God is for us and will meet us in our need. Hallelujah! Let us be prepared for the abundance that comes from the Lord.
Worry is imagining the future without Jesus.
