The million-dollar question 💰

So many phrases become popular in different cultures. Even though English is spoken in many countries, each culture creates its own unique sayings, like “Hey mate, put some shrimp on the barbie”, “Mind the gap”, or “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” 

My wife and I became the legal guardians of two African boys who became like sons to us. They’ve been in our lives for fifteen years. We love them, and they love us. We’ve had a ton of fun teaching them American sayings, and they’ve tried to teach us African proverbs.

One sentence that’s popular in the U.S. is “That’s a million-dollar question.” As you all know, the million-dollar question is not just one question, and no one will actually give you a million dollars. Bummer! 

The million-dollar question I want to answer is “Does God still heal sick, diseased or dead bodies today?” The answer is 100% YES! Many still don’t believe this. Many don’t believe it because their prayers for healing seemed to be unanswered. Maybe they were taught God never heals or He stopped healing after the first century. 

As a counselor, I’ve heard all the arguments against divine healing. Although I respect each person’s journey and his/her religious doctrine, I believe in the healing power of Jesus for you, your family and your friends.

Why do I believe in healing? This is why: 

1. The Bible teaches it: 
   1. “Then he said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.’” (Luke 8:48, NIV) 
   2. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28, NIV) 
   3. “By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see.” (Acts 3:16, NIV) 
   4. “And these signs will accompany those who believe:...they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” (Mark 16:17-18, NIV) 
2. I’ve seen people healed of cancer, strokes, heart attacks, raised from wheelchairs and raised from the dead.
3. I’ve been healed from two strokes and many other challenges. 

Do you need a miracle? Pray for it and believe for your miracle.

Because you’re a miracle.
