Biblical Success - Running the Race of Our Lives - for Such a Time as This

DAY 3 OF 5

“And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Luke 12:29-31)

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)

Are these scriptures really true? And do we live like they are? The world knows nothing about the Economy of the Abundance of God where He rules over all and is never limited by lack of anything. He is the creator of everything that is.

The world lives in a Zero Sum Economy of Scarcity game where all valuable assets are limited and where for me to gain someone else must lose. Not so in our Fathers’ Kingdom where every believer can confidently say “I will always have all I need to do all God asks!” God is infinite and His creativity to provide is unlimited.

So how should we live? Like the world scrabbling after stuff so that we can grab it before someone else gets it first only to find out that when we get it it never satisfies only sending us after more?! Or is there a better way? Do you know the way; the way that Jesus lived? What’s our model? Frantic acquisition or peaceful trust in our Sovereign God? Can you believe me when I say “I will always have all I need to do all God asks!” What is the catch in this saying?

“Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.” (John 4:34).

About this Plan

Biblical Success - Running the Race of Our Lives - for Such a Time as This

This plan is a challenge to run the “race set before us” mentioned in Hebrews 12:1 in a way that will cause the fearful crowd in this world who are watching us to notice a difference in our lives. We will use 5 direct quotes from Jesus in Luke chapter 12 to guide our discussions and draw out our thoughts in these uncertain and often troubling times.
