The All-Perfect King

Revelation 19:16

On His robe and on His thigh He has this name written: King of kings and Lord of lords.

This is a prayer for an all-perfect king ever. A king who is like God and makes fair and wise decisions. A king who judges equally. A king who helps the poor and the helpless. A king who punishes the wicked one fairly. A king who is respected by his people. The favor and goodness of God fill the nation because of the king. 

It seems impossible to find such a king on this earth. But you and I do have one in our lives. It is Jesus. He is the all-perfect King that fits the prayer in this Psalm. When Christ is crowned as King of kings, the whole earth will be filled with the glory of God.

In the meantime, let us also pray for the leader of our nation or land where we live. May the spirit and wisdom of God guide and lead the leaders in every decision they are going to make. 

Prayer

Dear God, thank You that You sent Jesus to be my anointed King. May I also pray for ___________ (the leader of your nation) so that the spirit of God guides and leads him/her. Amen.
