What Great Moms Are Made OfSample
Day 1: Knowing that there is no way to be a perfect mother
Jill Churchill said that there is no way to be a perfect mother, but a million ways to be a really great one. Our perfectionism in motherhood and life gets the best of us sometimes and we become disappointed and disillusioned when we cannot meet that ‘perfect family’ picture we have created in our own minds.
Perfectionism is a lie; an unattainable goal that we create to measure our performance and ultimately our worthiness. The sad truth is that you can’t be perfect; therefore, you set yourself up for failure and to feel bad about yourself. God is the only PERFECT BEING. Your responsibility is not to be perfect but to live out the fullness of what God has planned for your life. It is not about perfectionism but about greatness.
Lord, so many times I fail; I fall into disgrace. But when I trust in You, I have a strong and glorious presence protecting and anointing me. Forever You are all I need! – Psalm 73:26 TPT
Prayer: Lord, help me to lay down my need to be a perfect mother. All I want is to be close to You. Let Your glory transform me. You are all I need. Amen.

About this Plan
This seven-day reading plan is a result of a personal prayer request: “Lord, please make me a great mother.” As mothers, we realise the weightiness of the responsibility to create a Godly home and raise Godly children. As you journey with me through this reading plan, I will gladly share how God lead me to understand some elements of WHAT GREAT MOMS ARE MADE OF.
