Reflection
The natural world has one firm purpose – to propagate itself. Birds lay their eggs, kangaroos give birth to joeys, and gum trees drop their gumnuts, all with the purpose of continuing and even expanding their species. In Isaiah 27, we see that the purpose of all God has done among his people is not just for their own benefit, but it is to bless and benefit the whole world. God’s blessings are not something we are to keep to ourselves – we are tasked to “go into all the world,” sharing the love that he has given us through Jesus.
Question
What hinders me from sharing the good news about Jesus with others?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, help me to live in such a way that I am like a light to all I meet, shining your love so that others may be encouraged to want to know you. Give me courage to speak and sensitivity to know when not to. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
