Everyday Life in Revelation: Part 1 the ChristSample
Simply how big is your Jesus? John did not see a vision of a meek carpenter. Nor did he see a picture of a tortured, abused victim. He saw the Son of God. Take time to reflect on the image that John saw that day on Patmos.
The descriptions might be a bit foreign to our modern minds and senses, but know that what John saw was not a defeated or passive figure. No, Jesus was supreme. Jesus has authority over eternity, over life, over death, over every leader and power on earth. Jesus was immortal. Death could not defeat Him.
Today, we cannot rightly have confidence in ourselves. We cannot have confidence in our resources or institutions. We cannot even have confidence in our friends, families, and communities. No, but we can have confidence in King Jesus.
The Jesus that John saw is the Jesus that is present right now before the right hand of His Father interceding for you today. What do you need to give to Him right now?

About this Plan
The book of Revelation is not only to be thought of as a blue print for the future. It spoke to the church in John's day. It spoke to the church in Martin Luther's day. And it speaks to the church in our day! Revelation has a message and a meaning not just for tomorrow, but for everyday.
