New Identity
Ready to dig into today’s text and discover treasured truth?
Pray:
Holy Spirit, I need Your help. Please guide me, fill me, and teach me.
Today’s Goal:
Remember who we are in Christ and reflect on how we can live holy, honorable lives.
Study Tip:
If you come across a word, verse, or passage you don’t understand, seek clarity. Make a note of it and consider doing some research on it.
Read and Write:
Grab your notebook, and as you read through 1 Peter 2:4-10, prepare to write observations.
- What can you find about a Christian’s identity and/or what they’ve been given? Mark those or make a list.
Reflect:
- What is most significant to you about being a part of God’s living and spiritual house?
- What significant correlation is Peter stressing about these early church Christians being part of a mercifully chosen royal priesthood and holy nation? (See Exodus 19:5-6.)
- What kind of impact might it have on an unbeliever to see you living an honorable and holy life?
Apply:
- Based on today’s lesson, what action will you take?
