Reading this full chapter from start to finish is very important for every woman, for it represents the character of how the everyday woman should view herself. So many of us are led by the outward perceptions of others. We build our confidence around likes, social media followers, Snapchat filters, comments, makeup, and other material items. God is trying to tell us that all of those “things” are temporary satisfactions and can fade or no longer be an interest. What will never fade is your unique beauty on the inside. No matter how many layers of makeup, how short the skirt, or how expensive the purse, God is letting you know in this chapter that being true to who you are and accepting yourself as God has created you will quiet your spirit and have you at peace. Trying to live up to the expectations of “man” will have you overwhelmed, insecure & wavering with who you truly are. Sis, love every intricate detail of YOU. No matter who is accepting or non-accepting of your imperfections, just know that God accepts every detail of your genetic makeup and to Him, His creations are PERFECT! 

Act on It:

Has God revealed to you, lately, how you’re moving in the wrong direction internally? If you post a picture & get (1) like, do you still think you are beautiful? Before you put on your full attire, can you look at yourself in the mirror & say “Girl, you are amazing, just the way you are? If you have answered “No” to any of these questions, it's time to check your confidence. You do not have to prove your worthiness, when in God’s eye you are completely worth it! Believe it! You deserve a fair chance at happiness, but happiness starts with you first. 

Pray About It:

Dear God, 

How did we get so far away from you Lord? How did we lose sight of who we are? Help us to redeem ourselves, by following your Word. Reveal to us who you created us to be & instill in us your love and our purpose in life. We trust you Lord and we believe that you can provide all the things we need and not man. Lord, we ask that you help us to be more like you, so that no matter what, our everyday actions can speak even without words. Turn our focus back on you Lord, and no matter who likes, comments, or gives us praise, we know that our validation resides solely in you. Thank you, Lord, for your continuous love, grace, and mercy, even when we don't deserve it. We ask that your Will be done on this earth Lord and that you continue to forever be our guide & accountability partner.
