Will Someone Give Me Some Good NewsSample
Our generation tends to look for good news that only impacts or benefits us directly. As believers and Christ followers we cannot be satisfied with good news that only affects us without thinking about those around us.
Negativity affects people all over the world in many different ways. We see tragedy happening all around us. Spiraling in the negative, we either avoid the bad news or look for ways to self-soothe or self-medicate in the midst of it.
The Grace of God is Good News and it’s available to all who receive Him. Paul was compelled by Good News because He had a revelation of Jesus’ redeeming work in his own life. He took on telling others about Jesus as his sole purpose and calling.
Jesus was grace with skin on! We need a revelation of the grace we’ve personally received, while making compassion toward others a high value and priority when so many are experiencing unforeseen trials and hardships.
We can and must share the Good News of the Gospel wherever we go, as much as we’ve received that same grace ourselves.
Questions:
- Who have you told about the Good News of Jesus recently? Who can you intentionally encourage about the grace you’ve personally received?
