More Than a MommySample

After being submerged into #NewMomLife and subsequently tasked with learning my identity all over again, I knew that I eventually HAD to pick up where I left off and continue to pursue the God-given dream within me. As the Holy Spirit began to reignite the purpose within me, it became clear that not only was my obedience to God's call connected to my purpose, but I also learned that someone ELSE’S breakthrough will always be aligned with our dreams! 

Mama, you are more than a mommy because God called you to be! Every time you say "yes" to God, you are activating blessings to be shared with others. Don't ever allow yourself to feel like you are "just" a Mom. Motherhood is a launching pad to greatness! If you choose to stay at home, contribute to the workforce, or a combination of the two, understand that you are creating opportunities of legacy just by being you. There are no limitations when it comes to the purpose of God on your life and there's absolutely no reason to compare your journey to anyone else's!

As mothers, it is so easy for us to become overwhelmed and overburdened with what I've coined the "Doing Too Much" ministry. Maintaining our households, relationships, friendships, careers, and extracurriculars all while attempting to prioritize our self-care as we pursue our God-given purpose can become too much to handle. Always remember to seek God's hand so that anything unrelated to His plan for your life can be eliminated immediately. When challenges arise, and they will, prepare yourself to view obstacles as detours instead of dead ends. Basically, my point is that if God placed the dream within you, it will come to pass. It may take longer to come to pass now that we're moms and the journey may look different than you expected, but continue to keep your faith in Him!

Intentionally align yourself daily with the Word of God in order to understand His path for your life, and always remember that big legacies often start with small acts. There's purpose in every diaper you change, every tear you wipe, and every covering you pray over your children. Mama, you are a warrior, a leader, a mentor, a powerhouse, an intercessor, and a chosen woman of God. As powerful as motherhood is, it's impossible to be "just" a Mommy; you will always and forever be MORE than a Mommy!
