Overcoming With Letitia WrightSample
Welcome to Day Two! Today, we're looking at Jeremiah 29:11.
This Scripture means so much to me, because at the beginning of my walk, I was trying to figure out my identity in Christ. It was really difficult to see everybody just flourishing and feeling secure in their faith, and I didn't know who I was. During this time, God gave me this Scripture. Basically, He was telling me that his thoughts toward me were of good, of peace, of love, and not of evil—but to give me a future and a hope.
That enabled me to be confident in myself, and to focus my mind on my future knowing the way that God is thinking about me. His thoughts are really precious and loving. It gave me confidence to overcome the situations that I was going through, and to have hope that my future is going to look bright. This was before the films blew up and before anybody knew about my name—I was just becoming a new creation in Christ. He used this Scripture to really bless me and give me that confidence that I needed.
Whatever you're going through or whatever situations you’re trying to overcome, know that His thoughts towards you are amazing—they're precious. There's a Scripture that speaks about the way he thinks about us and you can't even count it—it doesn't compare to the sand that's on the seashore. It's endless. And that gives me confidence that Father loves us and He cares for us.
Today, let that truth marinate in your spirit.
